Botanical Description

Shrub or small tree from 3 to 12 m in height.

Leaves up to 15 cm long, serrate along the edges.

The flowers are white, pale yellow, yellow or orange-yellow (1 cm in length) with a strong smell of peach or apricot.

The fruit with a bone is dark purple in color, ovoid in shape.

Economic Significance and Application

Flowers are used as an aromatic additive for tea .
