Ivanov, Nikolai Nikolaevich (biochemist)

Born in the family of an employee of the postal and telegraph office. In 1905 he graduated from high school, and in 1909 he graduated from St. Petersburg State University (Natural Department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics ). Nikolai Ivanov was a student of V.I. Palladin and remained in the same place where until 1929 he worked at the Department of Plant Physiology. In 1912, Nikolai Nikolayevich practiced in Zurich , where he practiced with F. Schulz for four months, and in 1914 he practiced at the Berlin Institute of Biochemistry. Since 1929, he served as professor of the Department of Microbiology of Leningrad State University.

Nikolai Ivanov died on December 3, 1940 in Leningrad. Buried there.

The main scientific works are devoted to the study of the physiology and biochemistry of lower organisms and the biochemical study of cultivated plants. Nikolai Ivanov is the author of 150 scientific papers.
