Biography
Graduate of the Poltava Music College. Later, he studied at the Kiev Conservatory (1938-1941, at the historical and theoretical faculty, at the same time in 1939-1941 - at the composer faculty. A student of L.N. Revutsky .
In connection with the outbreak of war , he graduated from the Tashkent Conservatory in 1943. In 1951 - graduate school at the Kiev Conservatory (class of L. Revutsky).
In 1943-1945 - accompanist of the Kiev Ukrainian Drama Theater. I. Franco (in Tashkent ). In 1944-1954 - a teacher at the Kiev College of Music. Since 1951 - at the Kiev Conservatory: since 1971 - Professor at the Department of Composition.
Creativity
A. A. Kolomiets is the author of choral, vocal, instrumental, symphonic works, stage music, processing of Ukrainian folk songs, including about youth and for youth, in particular, the pedagogical repertoire for music schools and colleges, universities.
As well as musical editing of the publication of the works of N. Lysenko , K. Stetsenko , V. Kosenko , L. Revutsky, M. Verikovsky , G. Verovka .
He began writing large-scale works for solo, concert performance on a bandura . In co-authorship with V. Kireiko, he wrote the cantata "Ivanovskaya Roscha" (in memory of I. Kotlyarevsky , 1969, lyrics by M. Rylsky ). Edited and completed the children's opera Ivasik-Telesik K. Stetsenko (1962). Et al. with L. Revutsky and G. Mayborodoy edited the Concert for Piano with the V. Kosenko Symphony Orchestra (1967).
As a pianist he performed the works of M. Lysenko, S. Rachmaninov , F. Chopin , F. Schubert and others.
Among the students are A. Bilash , L. Dychko , V. Ilyin, I. Karabits , A. Kostin, A. Osadchiy , I. Poklad , E. Stankovich , M. Stepanenko, V. Filipenko.
