Biography
Claude Leidu was born on March 10, 1927 in Brussels , Belgium . In 1947 he moved to Paris , where he studied at the Conservatory of Dramatic Art . He worked in the troupe of Madeleine Renault and Jean-Louis Barrot in the Paris Marigny Theater.
Claude Leydoux became known for playing the main role of a curator from Ambricourt in Robert Bresson 's film “The Diary of a Country Priest ” ( 1950 ), based on the 1936 novel of the same name by Georges Bernanos [5] .
In 1962, Leidu and his wife Christine Bally created the television puppet show “ Good night, kids ” (“Bonne Nuit les Petits”), in which he acted as a producer and played the main role of a narrator until the program closed in 1997 [6] .
Claude Leydoux died July 29, 2011 in the city of ( Eson's department in France ) from heart disease.
