In his scientific activity, Cabrol specialized in the history of the Christian liturgy . One of his most important projects was the work “Liturgical Monuments of the Church” (Monumenta ecclesiae liturgica), which he published together with A. Leclerc and M. Feroten. The work was conceived as more ambitious, but only 4 volumes were published containing texts from apostolic times to Emperor Constantine I. In 1903-1913, together with A. Leclerc, he edited the multi-volume Encyclopedic Dictionary of Christian Archeology and Liturgy (Dictionnaire d'archéologie chrétienne et de liturgie) [2] . Other works by F. Cabrol include the book “Ancient Prayer Book” (Livre de la prière antique) and a study of the Jerusalem liturgy of the 4th century based on the data of the pilgrimage of Egeria . In the last years of his life, he was a professor at Catholic University of Angers , where he taught courses on Church history and patristics .
