Feature
Length - 32.5 km. At the time of completion and until May 1, 2008 , when the Shanghai-Ningbo Bridge was opened, 35.6 km long, it was the longest bridge of this type. The bridge in geography has a curved shape (S-shaped). Width - 31.5 m. The bridge has 6 lanes - three in both directions. The technical speed of transport over the bridge is 80 km / h.
Structurally, it consists of three components: an elevated section on mainland Shanghai from the intersection with Liangang-Dadao Street to the Luchaogan Dam (3.7 km), the Luchaogan-Daugui marine section (25.3 km), the section between the Daugui and Small Yanshan Islands on the archipelago ( 3.5 km) and ends with the Yangshan port. For the most part, the bridge is represented by a low viaduct (a bridge with a beam span), as well as with one section of the cable-stayed bridge (on the offshore section) with a main span of 420 m for passage of ships.
The design cost of the bridge is 11.8 billion yuan (1.6 billion US dollars) [1] .
