The first film "Madame Mandilip's Devil Dolls" (1991) was shot in Russia. The main roles were starred by Vyacheslav Nevinniy (Madame Mandilip), Vladimir Zeldin (Lowell), Ekaterina Pyasetskaya (saleswoman in the doll shop Madame Mandilip). At one of the American film festivals, the film took an honorable 2nd place.

Story

Dr. Lowell, a physician at a New York psychiatric hospital, is approached by his old acquaintance, Julian Ricory, the head of the Mafia Syndicate, who brought his paralyzed assistant Harry Peters. In the doctor’s office, the patient dies in terrible convulsions, erupting before death with an inhuman laugh. His face froze in a terrible grimace of hatred and fear. The cause of death remained unclear, and Dr. Lowell and his assistant Baszil begin to deal with this matter. During the research, nurse Walters dies, one of the best nurses and Baszil's lover - just like Harry, but before his death he manages to show a red spot on his ankle. Later they find the diary of Sister Walters, in which it is written about a strange doll saleswoman, Madame Mandilip ...
