Disamarium tritelluride forms rhombic syngony crystals, space group P nma , cell parameters a = 1.206 nm , b = 1.186 nm , c = 0.434 nm , Z = 4 , antimony sulfide type structure Sb 2 S 3
At a temperature of 640 ° С, it passes into the cubic syngony phase, space group I 4 3d , cell parameters a = 0.9480 nm , and a structure of the tritium tetraphosphide type Th 3 P 4 [1] [2] .
The compound is formed by a peritectic reaction at a temperature of 1500 ° C [1] .
