Biography
Born in the famous Frumery family. He studied under Emil Sauer , Alfred Corto (piano). From 1923 to 1928 he studied at the Royal Higher School of Music in Stockholm . Impressionism , romanticism and neoclassicism influenced the composer's work. It is considered one of the leading Swedish composers of the 20th century. In 1945-1974 he taught at the Higher School of Music in Stockholm , from 1962 - professor. Often turned to Swedish musical folklore; wrote songs and romances.
