Salinite ( English Sahlinite ) is a mineral , lead arsenate with additional Cl - anions (a class of phosphates , arsenates and vanadates ). Forms scaly crystals of a grayish-yellow color. Salinit was discovered in 1934 at the Longban field , Sweden (Långban, Sweden). It is named after Karl Andreas Salin (1861-1943), a Swedish chemist and director of a metallurgical plant in Laxo (Sweden).
