FanMail is the third studio album by American female hip-hop and rhythm and blues band TLC , released on February 23, 1999 via LaFace and Arista . The producers were Babyface , Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis , Jermain Dupree and Dallas Austin . The TLC was topped the American Billboard 200 charts , and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Album .

About the album
The album received positive reviews from music critics. The disc debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 charts with a circulation of 318,000 copies in its first week of release [9] . On February 23, 2000 the album was nominated in 8 nominations for a Grammy Music Award , including in the Best Album category, winning three figurines in total: Best R&B album , Best performance by R&B duet or group with vocals and Best R&B song . By 2000, the album was certified in 6 cr. platinum status of the RIAA [10] .
