"Journey to the North." Photoalbum of N. A. Shabunin. 1906 year
The shrubs are part of the headdress of the Russian traditional costume of the Arkhangelsk region . The shrubs are a wide scarf of red taffeta , folded in a strip about 12 cm wide and tied to a warrior so that the knot is located on the forehead , and the tips of the scarf stick out in different directions. The bearers of the tradition say that: "the bushes should stand like ears of a bunny ."
