Iofinov, Samuil Abramovich

In 1926 he graduated from the Vitebsk Cooperative College (Department of Agricultural Cooperation). In 1928, he moved to Leningrad with his parents. He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (1936), his graduate school (1940) and in the same place since 1937 he taught at the department "Operation of a machine-tractor park" (EMTP), associate professor (1940). Candidate of Technical Sciences (1940).

After the start of World War II, he joined the militia and then continued to mobilize. He served on the Leningrad Front as the senior dispatcher of the 17th automobile brigade carrying goods, equipment and ammunition, wounded evacuated from Leningrad. He participated in battles during the lifting of the siege of Leningrad.

From November 1945 to 1979, the head. Department of EMTP LIMSH . Then the professor of the department (1979-2000) and the professor-consultant (2000-2002).

Doctor of Technical Sciences (1957), Professor (1959). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR (1971).

Awards: two orders of the Patriotic War II degree, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Red Star; medals: “For the Defense of Leningrad”, two medals “For Labor Valor”, a medal of Zhukov, etc.
