The representative of the Indo-European comparative studies of the young grammatical direction. Professor at the University of Strasbourg. Best known as armenist and iranist . He was the first to establish that the Armenian language is a separate group within the Indo-European family, and not one of the Iranian languages, as previously thought [3] , as well as the Afghan language belonging to the Iranian group, which was attributed to it as the Indian or intermediate between the Indian and Iranian languages.
His works on Zendavest and Iranian languages are available in the Zeitschrift der Deutschen Morgenländischen Gesellschaft, in the Zeitschrift für vergleichende Sprachforschung by Franz Kuhn and in the proceedings of the Munich Academy.
