Beta ( eng. Beta ) - a small Martian impact crater located on the plateau of Meridian . The coordinates of the crater are . The crater was incidentally inspected by the Opportunity rover from 3-11 August 2005 (898-906 sol ), while he was studying the Beagle crater. The diameter of the crater is about 10 meters . Around and inside the crater there is a multitude of rock that was thrown at the impact that formed this crater. The crater is located 54 m east of Waco crater, 31 m west of Beagle crater (very close to it), and 614 m north of Sinkhole crater. The studies of the crater were limited to its visual inspection (it did not represent any scientific value).
