History
It was founded in 1910 as a result of the unification of three Mennonite villages [2] - Marienau (founded in 1866 ), Lindenau (founded in 1866 ), Schönau (founded in 1868 ) [3] . The founders are immigrants from the Black Sea region , including supporters of the preacher K. Epp. In 1866, a prayer house was opened. Part of the inhabitants were Lutherans and Catholics [2] .
In the Soviet period, as part of the Koshkinsky district of the Samara (Kuibyshev) region. In 1926, there was an elementary school [2] .
In December 1941, the German population was deported .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in the Volga region , at an altitude of 157 m above sea level [4] . The terrain is flat. The village is surrounded by fields, there are shelterbelts [5] . Black soils and floodplain slightly acidic and neutral soils are common [6] .
By road, the distance to the administrative center of the rural settlement of Orlovka is 5.8 km, to the district center of Koshki is 19 km, to the regional center of Samara is 140 km [7] .
