Rocco Crater ( lat. Rocco ), not to be confused with the Rocca Crater ( lat. Rocca ), is a small impact crater in the eastern part of the Storm Ocean on the visible side of the Moon . The name was assigned by the Italian male name and approved by the International Astronomical Union in 1976.

Crater Description
The immediate neighbors of the crater are the Krieger and Van Bisbrook craters in the west; Ruth crater in the south-south-west. In the south-southwest of the crater are the furrows of Aristarchus ; in the south-southeast - the furrows of the Prince ; in the southeast are the Harbinger Mountains [1] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater are , diameter 4.4 km [2] , depth 700 m [3] .
The Rocco Crater has a circular bowl shape. The shaft is clearly defined, the inner slope is smooth, with a high albedo . The shaft height above the surrounding area reaches 150 m [3] , the volume of the crater is approximately 3 km³ [3] . According to morphological characteristics, the crater belongs to the ALC type (according to the name of a typical representative of this class - Al-Battani Crater C ).
Before receiving its own name in 1976, the crater was designated Krieger D (in the designation system of the so-called satellite craters located in the vicinity of a crater with its own name).
