History
The date of formation of the peat enterprise and the village of Tesovo-4 is officially considered June 8, 1954. The reason for the emergence of the village was the development in the 1950s of local peat deposits [2] .
Since 1955, as part of the Kholmitsky village council of the Oredezh district .
Since 1957, as part of the Belsky Village Council.
Since 1959, as part of the Tyosovsky village council of the Luga region [3] .
According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village of Tyosovo-4 was the administrative center of the Tyosovo village council of the Luga region [4] [5] .
According to 1990 data, the village of Tyosovo-4 was the administrative center of the Tyosovo village council, which included 8 settlements, with a total population of 1,219 people. In the village of Tesovo-4 , 863 people lived [6] .
In 1997, 705 people lived in the village of Tesovo-4 of Tesovskaya volost, in 2002 - 663 people (Russian - 97%) [7] [8] .
In 2007, 706 people lived in the village of Tesovo-4 of the Tesovsky joint venture [9] .

The village is located in the eastern part of the district on the highway 41K-662 ( Oredezh - Tesovo-4 - Cholovo ).
