Mikhail Ivanovich Donaurov ( October 1757 — October 21 ( November 2 ), 1817 ) was a senator , a real secret adviser and a freemason from the noble family of the Donaurovs . The organizer of the estate Zhernovka .

Biography
The son of a college registrar Ivan Gerasimovich Donaurov (1726-1776), who served as manager in the estate of Count M. I. Vorontsov . In 1765 he was admitted to the newly opened academic gymnasium for young children at the Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg. After its graduation in 1775, he was assigned to serve in the College of Foreign Affairs .
Actuary acted at the Russian Embassy in Stockholm. After returning from Sweden, he corrected the position of translator with the rank of captain-lieutenant (1782). In 1783, he was appointed secretary to the Vyborg governor-general, Prince Württemberg ; the estate of Monrepos , owned by the prince, was executed in the name of Donaurov. Since 1787, he was at the court of Grand Duke Pavel Petrovich , acting as secretary and librarian. At the request of the Grand Duke, he was transferred to military service, to the Gatchina troops, where he received the rank of colonel. In November 1796 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne .
Upon the accession of Pavel Petrovich to the throne, he received the rank of major general and two thousand souls of peasants; From January 28, 1797 he led the office of His Majesty . With the resignation of the Cabinet manager on March 18, 1798, he was promoted to Privy Councilor, and in 1799 - to full Privy Councilor. However, on December 16, 1799 he was dismissed from all affairs. Under Alexander I , on April 20, 1801, he was again recruited and appointed senator to the 3rd Department of the Senate . Also, since 1802, he was a member of the councils in the Educational Society of Noble Maidens and at the St. Petersburg School of the Order of St. Catherine.
Due to illness, on December 2, 1802 he was dismissed from being in the Senate until 1808. Since 1809, at the initiative of Empress Maria Fyodorovna, Donaurov headed the Board of Trustees over the Sheremetev’s property under the young Prince Dmitry . He died on October 21, 1817 in the Sheremetyevo Palace on the Fontanka and was buried at the Volkovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg.
Family
Wife (from 08.04.1795) - Maria Fedotovna Verigina (1774-1848), daughter of Major General and member of the Military College Fedot Mikhailovich Verigin . Together with her sister Natalya (married to S.I. Plescheev ), she was brought up at the Smolny Institute (issue 1791). For the merits of her husband, on July 22, 1804 she was awarded the Order of St. Catherine (the Small Cross) and granted to the state ladies. According to S. D. Sheremetev , Maria Fedotovna “was an important and somewhat prim lady, and, moreover, quite domineering. Her husband, the kindest man, was under her shoe and called her “mafamushka” [1] . She died on May 9, 1848 and was buried next to her husband. Their children:
- Maria (1796-1848), maid of honor, since 1822 married to Major General, commander of the Cuirassier Regiment Nikita Ivanovich Zhadovsky (1795-1845).
- Peter (1801-1863), Senator and Comrade of the Comptroller of the State (1856).
- Alexander (1802-1822), a graduate of the Page Corps, served in the Life Guards Horse Regiment.
- Nicholas (1805-1834), served in the College of Foreign Affairs, was a member of the Russian mission in Madrid.
- Ivan (1806-1849), Yaroslavl Vice-Governor, married to the daughter of Prince G. S. Golitsyn, Natalya (1816-1874).
- Pavel (07/01/1807—?), The godson of Empress Maria Feodorovna and Grand Duke Nikolai Pavlovich [2] .
- Dmitry (08/15/1809—?), Baptized on August 22, the godson of Count D. N. Sheremetev and sister of Mary [3] .
- Andrei (1811-1852), graduate of the Page Corps, court adviser.
