Colchicum colchicum ( Latin Colchicum corsicum ) is a species of herbaceous bulbous plants of the genus Colchicum colchicum family. The species is subject to strict protection in Belarus [2] .

Botanical Description
Perennial bulbous plant. Bulb 3 cm long and about 2 cm thick, brown.
After flowering, three to four leaf-shaped leaves appear, 8 cm long, 9-18 mm wide.
The number of flowers is one or two, less often three. Petals 20-40 mm in length, 2-5 mm wide, lilac-pink. Stamens 2-8 mm long with anthers 2-5 mm in size. Flowering from September to October.
Distribution
The birthplace of the species is Corsica, also possibly Sardinia . It grows in dry meadows located on silicate rock.
