History

The tumble is considered one of the oldest villages in the region [2] . Date of foundation unknown. It was first mentioned in 1717 or 1719 under the name "Filipp Popova village on the Povaliha river" [3] . Soon it became known as Povalyha along the river of the same name [4] .

In 1859, the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God [5] was built in the village, destroyed in the 1940s [6] .
