Story

Carrie ( Claire Danes ) arrives at Langley, seemingly refreshed. Everything is perplexed by the fact that Afzal Hamid was able to kill himself. Carrie offers to conduct a polygraph test of everyone who came in contact with Hamid. Carrie is happy because Brody ( Damien Lewis ) will be on the list; she is sure that he will not be able to go through the polygraph. The testing process begins on the same day. Carrie is the first to be tested. She answers every question, except when she was asked if she took illegal drugs while working at the CIA. Meanwhile, Sol ( Mandy Patinkin ) asks a neighbor about an abandoned house that Rakim Fayzel (Omid Abtahi) bought, and he finds out that Rakim lived here with a woman.

Rakim and Eileen ( Marine Ireland ), while on the run, arrive at the safe house. They're just about to go inside, but Eileen notices a trap on the door. Now, threatened by al-Qaeda and the authorities, Raqim decides that they need to sink to the bottom, but Eileen refuses. In Langley, I was able to identify Eileen Morgan as the girl of Rakim. During a check of the past, Eileen reveals that she lived in Saudi Arabia for five years when she was a child. Sola is called to pass a polygraph test. He's been cocked from the start, and the polygraph shows that he is lying when he denies passing the razor blade to Hamid. Sol gets up and stops checking, saying that he is too busy and will finish tomorrow.

There is a memorial service for Tom Walker. Brody makes a speech, recalling the death of Walker. Later, Carrie finds Brody and tells him about the polygraph test he has to go through; they planned it the next day. At the reception, Brody and Mike ( Diego Clattenhoff ) chatting with some of the other Marines who attended the memorial service. One of the Marines, Wakefield (Mark Menchak), gets intoxicated and starts a conflict. He angrily asks Brody why he returned home alive while Walker was killed. Brody says he's lucky. Then Wakefield says that all the men present here wanted to have sex with Jessica ( Morena Baccarin ) while Brody was gone, but only one of them did it. Hearing this, Mike rushes to Wakefield. Brody pulls Mike away from Wakefield and, deciding that Mike is defending his romance with Brody's wife, begins to strike him, saying: "You were my friend!" After beating Mike, Brody gets into the car and drives off.

That night, Carrie receives a call from Brody, who is in the bar and wants to talk to someone after the events of his stormy day. Carrie arrives at the bar, they again establish mutual contact, having a little drink, enjoy getting to know each other. Pretty drunk, they go to the parking lot. Carrie admits to Brody that Hamid killed himself, and that the purpose of the polygraph is to determine if Brody passed Hamid a razor blade. They start kissing and then have sex in Carrie's car.

Raquim and Aileen are in the motel when their room is suddenly fired upon with machine gun fire. Raquim is killed, but Eileen manages to escape.

Sol again behind the polygraph and this time passes it. He enters the observation room, where Carrie is already, since the next to Brody's polygraph. Brody passes the test and answers every question easily, including the question of whether he passed the razor blade to Afzal Hamid. Carrie is worried, but she has a question that can catch Brody - she tells the inspector ( James Urbanyak ) to ask Brody if he cheated on his wife. Brody looks directly at the camera through which Carrie looks behind him and says, “No.” Polygraph reading does not budge. Sol folds the test, Brody is free. Carrie is now in a predicament, knowing that Brody was able to trick the polygraph, but cannot reveal to Sola how she knows this. Sol tells her that she must admit that Brody passed the polygraph and that it is time to forget about him as a suspect.

Carrie goes outside. Brody drives up to her and tells her to get into the car. She sits down and they leave.
