The Kierzi capitular of 877 (also Kierzi or Kersi ; fr. Capitulaire de Quierzy ) is a decree of the king of the West Frankish kingdom Charles II Lysy , one of the most important provisions of which was to establish the heredity of the title of count . Published in Kierzee-sur-Oise .
The Kierzi capitulary legally secured and authorized the political independence of the counts, which at the end of the 9th century already became a real fact in Frankish society.
