They want it hot (the original name: Let Them Eat Cake , is an English translation of the legendary phrase of Marie Antoinette “ Let them eat cakes ” ; but they also meet other translations of the name into Russian: “ Some people like it hot ” and “ Samoduras at Yard ”) is a historical black comedy television series ( sitcom ), which aired on the BBC channel alone in 1999, in Russia on the STS channel in 2003. The series is full of black humor , mainly on the themes of violence, sex and sexual perversions, "existing" at that time in the depraved "high society" of France.
Story
1782 year . Seven years before the French Revolution . The action takes place in the halls of the Palace of Versailles . In these halls lives the most arrogant, ambitious and adamant woman in France - Countess Colombine de Vache. She sends horror in the hearts of aristocrats , spreading and collecting the most personal rumors and secrets of the elite of that time. The Countess’s servant sometimes appears in the series - a nymphomaniac maid and former prostitute Lysette and sneaky slave Bowfant. Colombine constantly competes with Madame De Plong. In these conflicts, Madame De Plongue, she is always supported by the naive but smart daughter of Evelyn.
