Kuokuisky litter ( Yakut. Kuokuy neһiliek ) is a rural settlement in the central part of the Kobiaisk ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) , on the left bank of the river. Lena [3] . The administrative center is the village of Argas (founded in 1934), located 60 km from the ulus center of Sangar [3] . The village also includes the village of Kalvitsa (founded in 1931).

Content
History
The Kuokuisky volost is marked for the first time in Parfen Khodyrev’s yasak book from 1639–1640; since 1771 it has been part of the Srednevilyuysky ulus. The first known prince (headman) is Karakan Turakhov (Vasily Turakh). According to the 1917 census, there were four clans in the Kuokuysky litter: Gulyaevsky (31 households), Salkheysky (13 households), Borogonsky (20 households), Berdigestyakhsky (27 households) [3] [4] .
Geography
The Kuokuisky litter is located on a plateau between the Lena and Vilyui rivers, has a sharply continental climate, long cold winters and short hot summers. There are many small rivers, streams and lakes in the lagoon. The territory of the nasleg is a plateau with meadows. The forest massif has mainly consisted of Daurian larch [3] [4] .

According to the 2010 All-Russian Population Census, the total population of the Kuokuy population was 828 people, of which 639 people lived in the village of Argas, and 189 people lived in the village of Kalvitsa.
Infrastructure
Transport communication is carried out on seasonal roads (car winters), as well as river and aircraft, and electricity is supplied through a local DES [3] [4] .
Economics
Agriculture is the main economic activity of the village: meat and dairy cattle breeding, horse breeding and cultivation of vegetable crops, especially potatoes, are developed. In the village there are 3 agricultural consumer cooperatives, 7 peasant farms, about 30 individual entrepreneurs work [3] [4] .
In 2015, a complete ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages was introduced in Kuokuisky lodge [14] .
