The 2005 European Curling Championship among mixed teams was held in Andorra la Vella (Andorra) from October 18 to 22, 2005 . It was the 1st European Championship in this type of competition. All games were played at the Canillo Ice Arena.

The tournament was attended by 23 national combined teams (composed of two men and two women).
The champion (for the first time in its history) was the Finnish national team , who defeated the Swedish national team in the final. The bronze medal was won by the German national team , who won the Scottish national team in the 3rd place match . [one]

Competition Format
Teams are divided into 4 groups (A, B, C, D) of 6 teams (in group D - 5 teams), where they play with each other in a circular system in one circle. Then the 8 best teams (2 of the best in the group) go to the playoffs , where they play according to the Olympic system in quarter-finals and semi-finals; the winners of the semifinals in the final play the 1st and 2nd places, the losers in the semifinals play the 3rd and 4th places among themselves.
