Description
A small dragonfly (yellowish to brownish-black; yellow marks on the head and chest; brown eyes). Body length 3-4 cm, wings about 2 cm. Discovered along forest river flows at heights from 300 to 425 m. The species was first described in 2015 during an audit of African dragonflies by entomologists Klaas -Douwe B. Dijkstra ; Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Leiden , Netherlands ), Jens Kipping ( Jens Kipping ; BioCart Environmental Consulting, Taucha / Leipzig , Germany ) and Nicholas Meziere ( Nicolas Mézière ; Kuru , French Guiana ). The specific name comes from the Latin word meaning "jeweler" because of the bright yellow color [1] .
