Content
RRF Objectives
- promoting the exercise of citizens' rights to physical education and sports , aimed at the unity of spiritual and physical education, as one of the factors in the formation of their healthy lifestyle ;
- development, improvement, promotion and popularization of biathlon in the Russian Federation, increasing the role of physical culture and sports on the basis of biathlon in the comprehensive and harmonious development of personality, strengthening the position and increasing the prestige of biathlon at the international level;
- strengthening friendship in the sports movement and the implementation of international sports relations in the field of biathlon;
- the implementation of a series of measures to improve the skills of athletes to achieve results in sports of the highest achievements, as well as to prepare sports reserves;
- assistance in creating conditions for the development of biathlon in the Russian Federation.
History
The Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) was established in 1992 and unites sports organizations of 49 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
