Emersdorf ( fr. Heimersdorf ) is a commune in the north-east of France in the Grand Est region [1] (formerly Alsace-Champagne-Ardennes-Lorraine ), Haut-Rhein department , Altkirch district , canton Altkirch [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Irseng (Altkirsh district).

Economy
In 2010, out of 428 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 309 were economically active , 119 were inactive (activity indicator was 72.2%, in 1999 - 63.8%). Of the 309 active able-bodied residents, 281 worked (159 men and 122 women), 28 were unemployed (17 men and 11 women). Among 119 able-bodied inactive citizens, 20 were pupils or students , 33 were retired , and another 66 were inactive for other reasons [8] [9] .
During 2011, there were 232 taxable households in the commune , in which 613.5 people lived. At the same time, the median income was 23,618 euros per taxpayer [10] .
