Jane Gale (born Ethel S. Magee, Eng. Ethel S. Magee ; August 16, 1890, Salem, New York - January 30, 1963) is one of the first American actresses of silent films and theater. Best known for her roles in silent films “The Trade in Souls ” (1913), “ Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ”, where she performed the role of the bride of Dr. Jekyll, played by King Baggot . She also appeared in the film “Jekyll and Hyde”, released in 1912, but in a minor role.

From 1912 to 1920 in 19 films, Gail began her acting career on Broadway, appearing in two productions of The Rack and The City. She was only 30 years old when she starred in her latest film, Bitter Fruit (1920). She never appeared on the silver screen after that. Gayle died in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 30, 1963 at the age of 72.
