The area of the lake is 7.5 km². [2] The height above sea level is 274 m [3] .
The lake is one of the most favorite vacation spots for residents of the city of Yekaterinburg and nearby cities. On its banks are numerous recreation centers of industrial enterprises, recreation camps, motels, summer residences, boat stations, beaches, the Shturval country club, the Lesnaya Skazka country club, parking for cars and motorcycles, ATV rentals, and snowmobile rental in winter. and ice race track. The lake, especially in the summer, experiences a huge influx of vacationers, which affects the state of the waters and its catchment area.
On the lake is the yacht club of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company . A sailing regatta is held annually. On the east bank is the Fisherman House. Here is attributed farm of fishermen and hunters of Uralmashzavod .
On the feast of the Epiphany , the Jordan is sanctified, followed by bathing.
