Wang Feng ( Chinese 王 凤 ; November 14, 1985 , Yaan ), a Chinese kayaker , played for the PRC in the second half of the 2000s. Biography
Wang Feng was born on November 14, 1985 in the Yaan urban district of Sichuan .
The first serious success at the adult international level was in 2006, when she joined the main team of the Chinese national team and attended the World Championships in Szeged, Hungary, from where she brought the bronze dignity award, won in the classification of four-seater kayaks at a distance of 1000 meters. A year later, at the Asian Championships in Korean Hwacheon, she climbed the podium three times, winning all three disciplines in which she participated: in four at distances of 200, 500 and 1000 meters. In addition, this season, among four kayaks, she became a silver medalist at the world championship in Duisburg, Germany, losing only to the crew from Hungary in the decisive race.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, Wang won the right to defend the country's honor at the 2008 Beijing Summer Home Olympics - she started here in two at five hundred meters with her partner Xu Linbei , dropped out of the fight for medals in the first round, where she finished eighth.
After the Beijing Olympics, Wang Feng remained in the main composition of the PRC rowing team and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in the 2010 season, she performed at the Asian Home Games in Guangzhou, where she became the champion at five hundred meters among twos and fours. Soon after the end of these competitions, she decided to end the career of a professional athlete, losing her place in the national team to young Chinese rowers.
