Biography
She was born in a family of employees (her mother worked as a surgical sister, her father died during the Civil War shortly before the birth of her daughter). Since 1923, she lived in Vladikavkaz with her mother and stepfather (d. 1934). In 1942 she graduated with honors from school. In 1943 she entered the North Ossetian Medical Institute, was a Stalin scholarship holder [2] .
Since 1948, having graduated from the institute with honors, she worked as an assistant in the department of organization of healthcare of the institute, since 1949 she taught at the department of microbiology. In 1950, she studied on a cycle of specialization in microbiology at the Central Institute for the Advancement of Physicians , and in 1953 she graduated from the graduate school in microbiology [2] (supervisor is Professor S. S. Rechmensky).
Since 1953, he was a junior research fellow at the Institute of Normal and Pathological Physiology (under the direction of A.D. Speransky ), and since 1958, a senior microbiologist at the Erisman Institute of Sanitation and Hygiene (under the direction of G.P. Kalina).
In 1960-1985, she worked at the Research Institute of Rheumatology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR (under the direction of A. I. Nesterov ), where she created a laboratory for the study of streptococcal infection; also worked at the Department of Microbiology of the Central Institute for Advanced Medical Studies [2] .
In 1988 she retired.
Scientific activity
In 1955 she defended her thesis.
The main areas of research:
- development of vaccination regimens for tetanus and dysentery;
- industrial microbiology (problems of phenol-degrading bacteria)
- epidemiology of streptococcosis and rheumatism; production of diagnostic group and standard streptococcal sera to T- and M-antigens; refinement of the scheme of bicilinoprophylaxis of rheumatism.
Developed a method of immunofluorescence for determination of blood L-forms and streptococcus group revertants.
She prepared 11 candidates of sciences.
The author of more than 200 scientific papers, including textbooks and manuals, patents.
The “Guide to Medical Microbiology” created by A. S. Labinskaya was recommended by the Teaching and Methodical Association for Medical and Pharmaceutical Education of Russian Universities as a teaching tool for the system of postgraduate professional education of doctors [2] .
