Before This World is the seventeenth studio album by American musician James Taylor , released on June 15, 2015 via Concord Records. This is the first studio disc of a musician with original material after October Road (2002). December 7, 2015 was nominated for a Grammy Award 2016 in the category Best vocal pop album [7] [8] .

Content
History
The recording took place in Massachusetts, where Steve Gadd helped him on drums, and Jimmy Johnson played the bass guitar [9] . In April 2015, Taylor announced a short concert tour of the United States (from July 2 to August 6 to promote the new album) [10] [11] .
In the United States, Before This World, made its debut on June 21, 2015 at No. 1 with a circulation of 97,000 units, becoming the first Charttopper for the American Billboard 200 charts for Taylor. As a result, he was ahead of Black Sabbath as the second longest waiting player in his entire career for his first place - 45 years after his disc Sweet Baby James (1970), second only to the record holder with a 54-year wait at Tony Bennett [12] . He also had 11 albums in the Top-10 before reaching No. 1 (more than Neil Diamond ) [12] . The following week, the album went down in the chart to position No. 5 with a circulation of 50,000 copies.
