The remake temple stands on the ground of the female Assumption Monastery , destroyed after the revolution. The temple was built in 2007 at the crossroads of all the main roads of the city. The five-domed cathedral with a high bell tower in the spirit of Ton architecture , but in a modern interpretation [1] . Raised on the donations of believers and enterprises from all over the Republic of Mordovia and beyond. The cathedral is three-story, with a height of 35 meters and a capacity of more than 700 people. On the 2nd and 3rd floors there is a Sunday school, a library, a refectory, an icon painting workshop. Consecrated on December 19, 2007.
In total, there are nine bells in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ; a belfry is installed that works from a remote control. Experts from Penza have been working on this electronic-mechanical sound system for a whole year. The Cathedral in the name of the Holy Resurrection of Christ turned out to be very beautiful and majestic, although it looks in its white robe somewhat alien among modern buildings. Like a white angel crouching to rest at the edge of the road.
Since May 2011, it has been the cathedral church of the newly created Krasnoslobodsk diocese , covering eight northwestern regions of Mordovia.
