Biography
The second son of Carlo d'Aragon Tagliavia , 2nd Duke of Terranova, and Giovanna Pignatelli.
Kamerger, commander of the Order of Santiago , in 1619, the great admiral of Sicily.
He was sent as an ambassador to Emperor Ferdinand III , became a member of the Privy Council and the prince of the Holy Roman Empire, as well as the court cavalier of Princess Maria of Austria , who accompanied him to the groom, Philip IV .
He later became general of the cavalry in Naples and captain-general of the militia of the Kingdom of Naples . He abandoned the administration of Sardinia and accepted the honorary appointment of the Spanish envoy to the court of Pope Innocent X and the position of state adviser.
In 1651 he was granted the title of Knight of the Golden Fleece .
