Content

Title

The colony had two German names: Dinkel by the name of the first headman; Wiesenthal given by the summoner [2] . The official Russian name is Tarlykovka [3] .

History

Founded as a German colony in 1767. Founders - 56 families from Holstein , Württemberg and Mecklenburg . Calling colony of Leroy and Petit. The colony belonged to the Lutheran parish of Warenburg [2] . Until 1797, the colony belonged to the 2nd district of Petit and Leroy (Varenburgsky possession) of the Saratov district (from 1780 - the Kamyshin district of the Saratov governorship ) of the Astrakhan province , from 1797 to the Tarlytsky colonist district of the Kamyshin district (from 1836 - Novouzensky district) Saratov province , since 1850 - to the Tarlytsky colonist district (since 1871 - the Tarlytsky volost) of the Novouzensk district of the Samara province [4] .

In 1774, the colony was plundered by the Pugachevites [2] .

It is known that by the middle of the 19th century there was already a Lutheran church of the Warenburg parish in Dinkel. In 1894, a new neo-Gothic stone church with five towers was built, accommodating up to 800 people. In 1910, the village had parochial and zemstvo schools, three water mills and two windmills, an oil mill [5] .

Since 1918, as part of the Tarlyk volost (from Tarlyk district since 1920) of the Rivne district of the Labor commune of the Volga Germans, since 1922 - the Kukkus canton (from 1927 to 1935 - into the Zelmansky canton) of the Volga Germans Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .

During the famine of 1921, 92 were born in the village, 238 people died [2] .

In 1927, the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee On Changes in the Administrative Division of the Autonomous Autonomous Region S. S. R. Nemtsev of the Volga Region and the Assignment of German Names to the Old Names that Existed Before 1914, the village of Tarlykovka of the Zelmansky canton was named Dinkel [6] .

On August 28, 1941, a Decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces on the resettlement of Germans living in the Volga region was issued. The German population was deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan, the village, like other settlements of the Kukkus canton, was included in the Saratov region.

Physico-geographical characteristics

The village is located in the Low Zavolzhye , belonging to the East European Plain , on the shore of the Volgograd reservoir , formed at the mouth of the Tarlyk River [7] . The height of the center of the village is 35 meters above sea level [8] . In the vicinity of the settlement, chestnut soils are common [9] .

By road, the distance to the regional center of the village of Rovnoye is 32 km, to the regional center of the city of Saratov - 72 km [10] . Near the village passes the regional highway P226 ( Volgograd - Engels - Samara )

Climate

The climate is temperate continental (according to the Köppen - Dfa climate classification ). The long-term rainfall is 398 mm. Most precipitation falls in July - 41 mm, the least in March - 22 mm. The average annual temperature is + 7.0 ° С, the average temperature of the coldest month of January is −9.7 ° С, the hottest month of July +23.1 ° С [11] .
