The 73rd Golden Globe Awards for Cinematography and Television Awards 2015 was held on January 10, 2016 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ( Beverly Hills , Los Angeles , California ) [1] . The nominees were announced on December 10, 2015 [2] .
The ceremony was broadcast live on NBC , and was moderated for the fourth time by British comedian Ricky Gervase [3] [4] .
The leader in the number of awards was the historical thriller “The Survivor ”, which won in three main categories: for the best drama film, best directorial work ( Alejandro G. Inarritu ) and the best male role in the drama film ( Leonardo Di Caprio ). For Leonardo DiCaprio, this Golden Globe became the third in his career [5] . The honorary award named after Cécile B. De Mille for life achievements in the field of cinema was presented to actor Denzel Washington [6] .
