Biography
Ivan Ivanovich Lebedenko was born in the village of Dolzhanskaya of the Yeisk department of the Kuban region (currently, the Yeisk district of the Krasnodar region ). Received primary education.
In February 1943, Kamyshevatsky District Military Commissariat of the Krasnodar Territory, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army . From the same time on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War .
By order of the 166th Guards Regiment of January 9, 1944, the mortar commander of the guard, Junior Sergeant Lebedenko, for courage and heroism in battles against the German fascist invaders, clearly and neatly executed command orders and two combat wounds, was awarded the medal "For Bravery" .

On June 26, 1944, at the crossing of the Ptich River in the area of the villages of Kasarichi and Khlopenichi, he put down four firing points and destroyed about 10 enemy soldiers. Order on the 55th Guards Division of July 15, 1944, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
When crossing the Western Bug River on July 27, 1944, Guards Sergeant Lebedenko in the area of Kolodno (13-14 km north-west of the city of Brest ) destroyed about 10 and dispersed the enemy soldiers to the platoon. On July 28, 1944, in a battle for the town of Bochukaly (13 km north-west of the city of Terespol ), with a mortar fire, smashed 2 cars, 3 carts and killed up to 10 machine gunners. By order of the 28th Army of August 19, 1944, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
Supporting the advancing infantry during the assault on the enemy’s first line of trenches in the Guddin courtyard in East Prussia Guards Sergeant Lebedenko, with a mortar fire from a 300-meter distance, he put down 3 weapon emplacements and destroyed up to 20 enemy soldiers. Developing a further offensive in the direction of the station Trakenen (Divnoye in the Nesterovsky District ) on January 13, 1945, while in combat formations of riflemen, Lebedenko destroyed 17 enemy soldiers with his mortar fire. By order of the 28th Army of January 31, 1945, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star .

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree.
Guard Sergeant Lebedenko demobilized in 1945. He worked in fisheries on the Azov Sea . Later he lived in Yeysk , then in the Primorsko-Akhtar district of the Krasnodar Territory and in the city of Zhdanov .
Ivan Ivanovich Lebedenko passed away on October 2, 1970.
