Orakei-Koraco is an area with high geothermal activity in the north of the North Island of New Zealand in the Waikato River Valley.

In this area there are many hot springs , geysers, mud baths. The most famous of these is the diamond geyser, its eruptions can last from several minutes to many hours, to a height of up to nine meters. The area was more than half flooded by Lake Ohakuri after the construction of a dam in 1960.
The Orakei region of Koraco is popular with tourists.
