Story
Boxer Davy Gordon stood up for the dancer Gloria Price when she was attacked by her employer and lover Vincent Rapallo. This event brings them closer, and they become inseparable from each other, thereby causing indignation on the part of Rapallo. He hires people to kill Davy. But by mistake, it’s not Davy who is killed, but his manager. Trying to avoid revenge Rapallo, Gordon and Gloria decide to escape from the city ...
This is a classic film noir , for which Stanley Kubrick won the award for Best Director at the 1959 Locarno International Film Festival .
