Description
IAI Harpy
It is a homing projectile. After detecting the radar signals, it determines the location of the target, dives at it and strikes with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead. It starts from a mobile launcher of a container type using solid fuel launch boosters. The first flight took place in 1989 .
Operators
Harpy is in service with the Israeli Armed Forces and was sold to Turkey, China, India and South Korea.
