Crater Description
The nearest neighbors of the Reaumur crater are the Oppolzer Crater adjacent to it in the northwest; the small craters Bruce and Blagg in the north; Zeliger Crater in the east; Hipparchus crater in the southeast; Gulden Crater in the south; Sprerer Crater in the southwest and Flammarion Crater in the west. The northern part of the crater is dissected by the Oppolzer furrow ; from the eastern end of the crater shaft, the Reaumur furrow begins [1] . Selenographic coordinates of the center of the crater , diameter 51.3 km [2] , depth 820 m [3] .
Crater Reaumur has a polygonal shape, is significantly destroyed and flooded with lava . The shaft is flattened, has numerous gaps and is a ring of freestanding peaks and ridges, the southern part of the shaft adjoins the mountainous terrain. The bottom of the bowl is flat, marked by many small craters.
