Diruthenium samarium forms cubic syngonium crystals, the space group is F d 3 m , the cell parameters are a = 0.7580 nm , Z = 8 , and the structure is of the type of dimethyl magnesium MgCu 2 ( Laves phase ) [1] [2] [3] .
At a temperature of 1230 ° C and a pressure of 6.5 ÷ 8.8 GPa, a transition to the phase of hexagonal syngony occurs, the space group P 6 3 / mmc , cell parameters a = 0.5298 nm , c = 0.8939 nm , Z = 4 , the structure is of the type of zinc magnesium MgZn 2 [2] .
The compound melts congruently at a temperature of ≈1900 ° C [2] .
