Career
Pupil of Rachik Leonovich Mashuryan from the Baku "Neftchi".
He participated in the 1972 Munich Olympics . Participated in the preliminary heats of 100 meters battelem, but did not reach the final.
Silver medalist of the 1973 World Cup in the relay 4 × 100 meters freestyle. His partners were Igor Grivennikov , Victor Aboimov and Vladimir Bure .
Champion of the Moscow Universiade 1973 in the relay 4x200 meters freestyle.
In 1975, as part of the Soviet relay four, he set European records in relay races of 4 × 100 meters and 4 × 200 meters freestyle.
He was also engaged in high-speed diving. He had the rank of master of sports.
Currently working as a trainer in St. Petersburg.
