APUS Group [2] [3] [4] [5] (also known as APUS ), founded in June 2014 by Li Tao, is an IT company specializing in the development of Android applications and information services. The company is best known for its flagship product, the APUS User System (also known as APUS Launcher), the user base of which is today more than 250 million users worldwide. By the end of September 2015, APUS reported that the number of users of APUS Launcher and other APUS products exceeded 510 million from more than 200 countries on six continents. According to Li Tao, founder and CEO of APUS, 90% of users are residents of countries other than China. [6]

June 2014: Li Tao [8] [9] founded the APUS Group in Beijing. In the same month, APUS raised 100 million yuan in the first round of financing.
July 2, 2014: APUS Launcher was released on Google Play and 28 days later, the APUS user base reached 10 million.
October 22, 2014: APUS reported 50 million users worldwide.
December 1, 2014: APUS released its first analytical report.
January 2015: APUS raised $ 100 million in round 2, becoming the youngest unicorn company (companies with a market value of more than $ 1 billion) in the world. [6]
