Canadian singer-songwriter Grimes has released four studio albums , one mini-album and six singles (including one co-authored), one promotional single and eight music videos . Born and raised in Vancouver, Claire Bush began recording experimental music while studying at McGill University in Montreal , where she became interested in the underground music scene.

In January 2012, Grimes tweeted that she had signed a record deal with 4AD , on which she released Visions in February 2012 in North America and in March of the same year in other countries [1] .
Grimes music was noted by critics and journalists as an atypical combination of vocal elements, and for a wide range of influences, ranging from electronics to pop , hip-hop , R&B , noise rock , and even medieval music .
In 2013, Grimes was awarded the Webby Prize as Artist of the Year [2] and the Juneau Prize for electronic album of the year. [3]
