The Star Wars Encyclopedia is a handbook published in 1998 by Stephen Sanswith [1] , which presented descriptions, definitions and explanations regarding the characters, creatures, places, objects, events and concepts used in the creation of the science fiction saga " Star Wars ". The data for the writing was taken from the original movie trilogy, radio shows , novels , short stories , graphic novels and computer games. The foreword to the book was written by the famous science fiction writer Timothy Zan .

In 2008, Sansweet reissued the guide in the form of a substantially expanded three-volume Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia [2] .
