eCall

eCall - the European system for automatic warning of road accidents on vehicles , is a project of "eSafety" - an initiative of the European Commission .

The aim of the project is to reduce by 2500 deaths during road incidents. [1] Until 2015, it is planned to oblige vehicle manufacturers to begin installing the system on new cars. Unlike existing similar systems ( Volvo On Call , Peugeot Connect SOS ) and thanks to the European system 112 ( E112 ), it is planned to ensure the functioning of the system throughout the European Union .
