Geography
It is located 12 km from the administrative center of the rural settlement - the village of Paygusovo , on the territory of the State Reserve "Emeshevsky", on the right bank of the Sumy River.
Toponymy
The name of the village comes from "Aktush" - the name of one of its founders. In the XVI-XVIII centuries, the village was called Malaya Emangashi [4] (the village of Emangashi is located 3 km west of the village). In the lists of populated areas of the Kazan province of 1859, it is mentioned under the official name Small Emangashi , colloquially - Aktushi [5] .
History
A part of the Catherine tract , lined with cobblestone, has been preserved in the village. 200 m from the bottom of the village, there is a brick border post, set at the end of the XVIII century on the border of the Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan provinces [6] [4] .
Since the middle of the XVIII century, the village belonged to the church parish of the village of Pertnury , and since 1885 - the village of Emeshyovo . At the end of the XVIII - beginning of XX centuries it was part of the Bolshe-Yunginsky volost of Kozmodemyansky district . In the years 1924-1931. consisted in the Akcherinsky district of the Yurinsky canton . [four]
